About ReqFit

Built by someone who has been in the room

ReqFit exists because its founder has written proposals under pressure, submitted without being certain, and wondered afterwards whether something obvious got missed. ReqFit is the tool he wished he had.

Every team deserves to know, before they hit submit, whether their proposal actually answers the brief.

A world where no proposal is submitted blind. Where any team, regardless of size, can compete on the strength of their thinking rather than the depth of their resources.

What ReqFit does

ReqFit reads your RFP and your proposal together. It works through every requirement in the brief and tells you, clearly and specifically, which you have addressed, which you have missed, and which need strengthening. The output is a structured report you can act on immediately. No vague feedback. No algorithmic optimism. Just an honest read of where you stand.

Who's behind ReqFit

Graeme Smillie, founder of ReqFit.

Graeme Smillie

Founder

Graeme has spent over two decades in professional services, leading marketing, brand, and digital teams across both the legal and financial services sectors. Much of that time has been spent inside or alongside business development teams, working on winning proposals for large opportunities across the UK. His current role is Head of Marketing Services at a top 10 UK accountancy and advisory firm, where his team owns the bid and proposal function and where he sits on the firm's AI taskforce, helping shape how AI is rolled out at enterprise level.

He combines that domain experience with a technical foundation, a Computing and Business degree, an early career as a web developer, and a track record of speaking at global developer conferences including Umbraco's CodeGarden.

ReqFit grew out of years watching skilled bid teams ship proposals they did not have time to review properly, and seeing good firms lose work for avoidable reasons. The goal is simple. Give any team, regardless of size, a rigorous structured review in the time they actually have.

Common questions about ReqFit

ReqFit is built for anyone accountable for bid and proposal quality: sales managers, account directors, independent consultants, and small teams who need a rigorous review but do not have a dedicated bid function. If you submit proposals to win business, ReqFit is for you.

ReqFit reads your RFP and your proposal together, extracts every requirement from the brief, and assesses how well your proposal addresses each one. The output is a structured report with an overall fit score, requirement-level analysis, and a clear list of gaps to fix. Your documents are not stored after processing.

ReqFit does not store your documents and does not train on your content. The pipeline is stateless and logless. That said, if you are working with highly sensitive documents, particularly in government, defence, or healthcare, check your own data handling policies before use. ReqFit is transparent about how the tool works so you can make that call.

ReqFit is built and run by CASM Labs Ltd, a UK technology company. Its founder has a long background in professional services and enterprise technology.
